Wassenaar Vocaliter
Wassenaar Vocaliter
Member of the Royal Singing Union
Wassenaar Vocaliter was founded in 1967 and has grown into a well established choir. Every year the choir performs in a small concert, sometimes in a Church service and there is always an annual concert with a professional orchestra and soloists. This performance usually takes place in the Dorpskerk in Wassenaar.
In the past the choir has sung work by Bach, Mozart, Händel, Schubert, Duruflé, Rutter and Bliss but has also taken on a rather special work by the composer Ernest Bloch. The conductor of Wassenaar Vocaliter is Frank de Groot, who turns our weekly singing exercise into an inspiring evening.
Weekly rehearsals take place every Monday from 19:45 to 22:00 in the NPB building,
Lange Kerkdam 46, Wassenaar.
On 17th April we will be singing in a Cantate service. Our main concert in 2011 is on Tuesday the 22th November . We will be singing music by Mendelssohn, Cherubini and a modern Pater Noster by the composer Peter Visser.
Listening to music is a pleasure, to join in an experience.
If you think you are up for something new or singing in a choir is something you have done in the past, consider joining our choir a challenge. You are very welcome to come to one of our Monday evenings and see for yourself how relaxing singing can be.
